2013 Christmas

Christmas Halling Chapel

On Sunday 22nd and Wednesday the 25th of December 2013 we gathered to celebrate the birth of the promised Saviour into the world. It was a joy to sing the well known Christmas Carols, to be reminded of the Christmas story which brings joy and hope to many, and to share with one another on a bring and share meal. It was lovely to have some visitors with us who heard the message of the Gospel.

Both services where led by our Pastor who preached from Matthew 1:18-25 with a particular focus on the names given to the promised Messiah. On Sunday we looked at the name of “Jesus: God Saves. For He will save His people from their sins” and on Wednesday the name of “Immanuel: God with us”.

Seniors' Tea ChristmasWe also had a Christmas version of our Seniors’ Tea meeting (pictured). This was full of colour, crackers and mince pies. We looked at the prophesy of the Messiah from Scripture on Isaiah 9:6.

It was a great blessing to be able to share some hampers with people in the community who are in need. These were received with much joy and praises to God for His provision!

We continue to pray that the Lord be Glorified in our village of Halling and that His message of Salvation be preached faithfully here and surrounding areas. May the Lord be pleased to draw many to Himself.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Is 9:6-7

Merry Christmas and happy 2014!
