On Wednesday 18th September we had a Thanksgiving service in Loving Memory of our dear Sister Elizabeth Anne Smoker who passed into the presence of her Lord at the age of 74 (7th May 1939 – 2nd September 2013).
The service was led by our Pastor Kevin Felix Hollington who preached as requested by our dear Anne from Psalm 103 “Praise the Lord, my soul” who gladly honored her wishes:
For the Gospel of our Lord and Saviour to be preached:
To lift the hearts of those who are His,
and to stir the hearts of those who are ‘as yet’ not His.
Friends and family who were present remembered her with much affection as a loving friend, sister, mother and talented singer. Above all things, she is remembered as a faithful believer who’s only hope in life and death was that she was not her own, but belonged, body and soul, both in life and death, to God and to her dear saviour Jesus Christ.
The committal took place at Snodland Cemetery followed by the wake at her address.
“Into the arms of Jesus – Hallelujah!” Anne Smoker
