We are a Bible believing church located in the village of Halling, Rochester, Kent, committed to the faithful preaching of God’s Word and the joyful proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ to all people.
We are a Grace Baptist Church that exists to glorify God by making disciples through the ordinary means of grace — the preaching of the Word, prayer, the ordinances and the life of the local church.

The Bible teaches that God is holy, good and worthy of all worship. We, however, have all sinned against Him and stand justly condemned.
In love, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, who lived a sinless life, died on the cross for sinners and rose again from the dead. The Lord calls everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and trust in Christ alone for salvation.

At Halling Baptist Church, we practice family-integrated worship. We believe worship is for everyone, including children. We do not separate them from the main service or prayer meetings, but encourage families to worship together. We believe children learn how to worship by worshipping alongside their parents and the people of God.

Halling Baptist Church is committed to training and equipping men for service in the church and for gospel ministry beyond it.
Through mentoring, theological study, preaching opportunities and practical church life, we aim to prepare faithful men for pastoral ministry, missions and church planting.
Rooted in Scripture. Shaped by History. Alive Today.
Biblical
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant and sufficient Word of God. Scripture alone is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice, shaping what we believe, how we worship and how we live. Everything in the life of the church is governed by God’s written Word.
Reformed
We joyfully hold to the Reformed faith, often summarised by the doctrines of grace. We believe salvation is entirely the work of God — from beginning to end — grounded in His sovereign grace, accomplished through Christ and applied by the Holy Spirit. This theology produces humility, assurance and a deep gratitude to God.
Baptist
We believe that baptism is for those who have personally repented of sin and trusted in Jesus Christ. As a Baptist church, we practice believer’s baptism by immersion and seek a regenerate church membership — a gathered people who give a credible profession of faith and commit to living as disciples of Christ together.
Confessional
We are a confessional church. Creeds, Confessions and Catechisms help unite us in doctrine, guard the church from error and connect us to the historic stream of Reformed Baptist Christianity, while always remaining subject to Scripture itself.
Family Discipleship
We believe that God has entrusted parents and particularly fathers, with the joyful responsibility of bringing up their children “in the discipline and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4). The home is the primary place of spiritual training, where children learn to love God through daily Scripture reading, prayer, catechising and faithful example. The church comes alongside families to support and strengthen this calling, but never to replace it. Our prayer and desire is to see children grow up hearing the gospel, understanding sound doctrine and trusting in Christ from an early age.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16
